Although beds bugs are not as prominent in South Jersey as they once were, there are situations where their population and infestations increase. Bed bugs are small insects that grow to around 1/4 inch. Typically they are a brownish color, but if you find them after they bite an animal or a human, they will be more of a red color. They are most often found in areas of the home where the homeowner spends most of their time, including in mattresses, linens, bed frames, recliners or sofas, clothing, carpeting and on dark objects.
Bed bugs are very sneaky insects. Even when people have bites, are experiencing allergies, or have other evidence of an infestation, they may not consider a bed bug infestation. Bed bugs will hide in the smallest cracks and crevices making them hard to find. They will stay in these hiding spots until night time, which is when they come out and feed on their prey, most often while they are sleeping. By the time their prey wakes up in the morning, the bed bug is back in its hiding spot digesting and/or laying more eggs.
When bed bugs bite, they secrete a numbing chemical in their saliva which is why even if you were looking at them biting you, you won't feel anything. However, these bites do affect your sleep which can to lead to an increase in stress and anxiety.
At Towers Elite, we currently offer a liquid treatment that kills off bed bugs at the point of contact. We do one heavy treatment for the first treatment, followed by smaller treatments, as needed, to ensure that the entire infestation is eradicated. Upon completing the treatments, we proceed with a follow up inspection to ensure that there is no longer any signs of infestation.
It is important to note that bed bug infestation often starts by someone in the household unknowingly bringing them in from somewhere else. Whether the bed bugs were on the clothes, luggage, or used furniture, or even a visitor that came to the house brought them in, it is essential that precautions are taken to ensure the issue is resolved and preventative measures are in place to prevent reoccurence.

Bed bugs are around the size of an apple seed. They are big enough to see without magnification but are very good at not being seen. They are nocturnal, only moving to feed during the night, so many bed bug infestations can get rather large before being seen.
Beg bugs get into your house in a variety of different ways. They can come from used furniture, contaminated laundry, bags that have been in infested areas, or other people coming into your home that are wearing infested clothing.
If you find that you are waking up with bite marks, you can check your mattress, linens, bed frames and sofas. Anywhere there is a crack or crevice is a good place for a bed bug to hide during the day.
During the inspection stage, we will explore your home looking for any and all pests and for signs of current or potential problems. Should we find any current problems, we will identify the potential reasons, access points, etc. If no active pests are identified, we will recommend a preventative plan program.
If an active pest or potential pest concern is identified, we will identify what type of pest it is, then prepare a strategic plan that includes eliminating the problem and preventing reoccurrence, as well as a maintenance plan.
Our commitment to you is top notch service. Treatment and plan options will be discussed with you to ensure all of your questions and concerns are addressed.
During the treatment stage, we will treat your home or property according to the plan. Preventative maintenance plans often involve spraying the perimeter of your home and sealing any openings with caulk. We will also treat the interior of your home - focusing on baseboards, near doors, windows seals and around appliances in the kitchen, and using monitoring tools, as appropriate, to measure activity changes.
Your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed! Between program treatments and after a one-time treatment, we will follow up to ensure the treatments are working properly and that you are happy with our services! The safety of your family and a pest free home is our number one priority and we guarantee your satisfaction.
It is essential to contact us as early as possible, so we can get your pest situation under control! The longer you wait, the worse the problem will become and the more expensive it will be to get the problem fixed!
